In 2009, he competed in four (4) shows: Garden State Classic NPC Bodybuilding Championships (June 27, 2009), NPC Northeast Grand Prix (July 11, 2009), FAME Atlantic City Championships (August 30, 2009) and took second in the Masters division, and USBF Jersey Shore Natural (September 19, 2009), where he was a finalist in the Masters Nationals. In 2010, Rich competed in the USBF New Jersey Natural Classic in Brick, NJ (May 1, 2010) and then two weeks later placed third in the masters division of the NABBA Garden State.
